Sinon-chrome is a testing utility that mocks the Chrome Extensions API using sinon stubs, enabling developers to run unit tests for their extensions and apps in Node.js without a browser. It supports both Chrome and Firefox APIs, provides event handling, and includes plugins for additional browser behavior emulation.
